The Unseen - 6

I was moving files around and making them make more sense in my hard drives and came across this shoot. I noticed that, the scans were very very very large in file size and colour was very off. I can see that I just wanted to scan them highest resolution as possible but pay little attention to colour. So I decided to scan them again in 3200DPI and focus bit more on the colour. I don't know where the colours went off but rescans colour was off too. Still it was more salvageble when compared to the originals. I think it was either the Colour of the flash used in the shoot or the chemistry accuracy in the Lab was off. I managed to get the colours to where I want them in this photo.

The Unseen - 5

The full story here: https://bugraergil.co.uk/Mechanic

It's amazing how medium format negatives vs 35mm are. You can easily see the quality even after pushing the film 2 stops.

The Unseen - 4

My first try on Documentary type photography. A small part of larger project. Initially I used Pentax 67 II however I brought my Nikon F6 with me as well just to be safe. It was good idea! I am used shoot fashion and portraiture where I have full control over my model and I can tell them how to pose and how to stand etc... In this situation the mechanics are working on their engines and motor parts and they are not posing or listening to me or standing in one place too long. In a scenario like this its very hard to shoot everything with Pentax 67 manual focusing, it is possible but at the end I might not have all the photos I need. So I switched to F6 and as a result of that; I now have some photos shot on Pentax 67, where the quality is great because of the negative size over 35mm and when I put the photos together the quality difference is effecting the story flow of overall story. The Unseen - 3

Provocateur !
My initial idea was to shoot on colour reversal film and cross-processing them, but after I take a look at the clothes and the colour of the clothes in the shoot I decided to stick with Black&White Film.
However the closeups, I decided to use the leftover colour reversal film. Today when I was looking at the old HDD's I found my Positive scans of the Colour reversal film cross-processed and I like them. I think I might use the idea on my future shoots as mood or filler photos.

The Unseen - 2

Avatar!
This is one I really like, and wished we could submit it to magazine in our final photos, but the framing of the model was making the magazine viewing a bit complicating because she would come in the centre page binding part.

The Unseen - 1

Brilliant!
I just came up with the idea of making a section of photos which I like but didn't make the selection for reasons such as and not limited to, repetition of styling, not fitting to the mood/story/idea, framing, ethics . . . etc.
If I gather enough photographs I might make a section called The Unseen in my online portfolio
